Our Process

How Professional Carpet and Rug Cleaning Works in Dubai

Dubai’s dust, sand, and high-humidity climate means carpets and rugs accumulate allergens, dust mites, bacteria, and odours faster than in cooler climates. Our carpet cleaning process is adapted for the specific challenges of Dubai residential and hospitality environments.

Step 1 — Fibre Assessment and Pre-Treatment

Before any cleaning, we identify the carpet or rug fibre type: synthetic (polypropylene, nylon), natural (wool, silk, cotton), or blended. Each fibre type requires different chemical and mechanical treatment. Silk and hand-knotted Persian rugs must never be wet-extracted. All stains are pre-treated with specialist products: protein-based stains (blood, food), tannin stains (tea, coffee), oil-based stains, and pet urine — each requiring a different enzyme or solvent.

Step 2 — Dry Soil Extraction

Before wet cleaning, we perform a thorough dry vacuum using a professional HEPA-filter vacuum to extract loose dry soil, sand, pet hair, and debris. For pile carpets, we use a contra-rotating brush head to agitate and lift embedded particles. Removing dry soil first prevents it from turning to mud during wet cleaning, which would push it deeper into the fibres.

Step 3 — Hot Water Extraction or Dry Cleaning

For synthetic and most wool carpets, we use truck-mounted or portable hot water extraction: heated water (typically 80–90°C) is injected under pressure into the carpet pile and immediately extracted with the dissolved soil, bacteria, and allergens. The entire process takes seconds per pass — carpets are damp, not wet, and dry within 1–3 hours. For silk, hand-knotted, or water-sensitive rugs, we use dry compound cleaning: an absorbent compound is worked into the pile and vacuumed out after 30 minutes, taking soil with it.

Step 4 — Post-Clean Treatment and Grooming

After cleaning, we apply a deodorizing and anti-bacterial spray. Pile is groomed in one direction using a carpet rake to improve appearance and accelerate drying. For wool and luxury rugs, we apply a fibre protector (similar to Scotchgard) that creates an invisible coating around each fibre, repelling future stains. You receive drying time guidance — typically 1–3 hours with good ventilation.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does carpet cleaning take?

A standard 3-bedroom apartment: 2–3 hours. Drying time: 1–4 hours depending on fibre and ventilation.

Can you clean Persian and silk rugs?

Yes. We specialise in hand-knotted, Persian, and silk rug cleaning using dry or immersion methods appropriate to each rug.

Do you remove pet odours from carpets?

Yes. We use enzyme-based treatments specifically for pet urine and odour that break down at the molecular level.

Can I walk on the carpet straight after cleaning?

We recommend waiting 1–2 hours for initial drying. Avoid shoes until fully dry (2–4 hours).

Do you offer a pick-up service for rugs?

Yes. We offer collection and delivery for rugs that benefit from workshop cleaning.
