Step 1 — Stone Condition Assessment

Our stone care specialist assesses the floor: stone type, finish level (honed, polished, brushed), depth of scratches, presence of etching or staining, and grout condition. For marble and travertine, we test for acid sensitivity. The assessment takes 15–30 minutes and is provided free. You receive a written quotation by WhatsApp within the same day.

Step 2 — Grinding Phase (if required)

For heavily scratched or damaged marble, we use diamond-abrasive disc grinding starting with a coarse grit and progressing through finer grits until all scratches are removed. Each pass is wet-lubricated to prevent heat damage to the stone. Grinding is followed by honing to achieve an even, flat surface — the foundation of a perfect polish.

Step 3 — Polishing and Crystallization

Polishing uses a marble-specific compound applied with a high-speed rotary machine. For crystallization — the highest standard of marble polishing — we apply steel wool discs saturated with a crystallizing salt compound that chemically bonds to the calcium carbonate in the marble, creating a glass-hard, highly reflective surface that outperforms any topical polish.

Step 4 — Grout Restoration and Sealing

After the stone is polished, grout lines are cleaned with a specialist grout cleaner and steam if required. Discoloured grout is treated and whitened. Finally, we apply a penetrating stone sealer to protect the newly polished surface from spills, oils, and staining for 2–5 years depending on foot traffic.
